I know this has been addressed numerous times before but maybe not specifically to a particular camshaft.
Can anybody please confirm exactly what type of distributor gear I should be using to suit my 'Erson Cams' Hydraulic Roller Camshaft (E119715) in my S.B.Chevy. I was told that 'I can run an original steel gear on that camshaft', but would that be an original steel gear that G.M ran on their factory hydraulic roller cams or the cast type that they have been using on their more standard engines. Over here, if I ask for a steel gear - it is a machined piece of metal and cast, is cast metal and machined. The engine is fully assembled, so it not that easy to look at the camshaft, however I do know that it is NOT a billet steel camshaft. Thanks in advance
