Hello, I purchased a SBC 421 ci kit from Skipwhite performance. Contained a balanced assembly of: Dart SHP block, Scat forged crank 3.875 stroke, Scat rods p/n 2-ICR6000-7/16 6", and probe SRC p/n 14929-030 pistons, & Howards p/n 180265-10 hydralic roller cam .530I-.545E. Started putting together and noticed rod cap to cam lobe interferance. Timing chain is well marked and set to "dots" for orginal timing. One would have thought this store would have checked this before advertizing as a kit!! Anybody have any insight as to possible solutions? Small base circle cam? Different rods? It's been a while since I put a motor together so I have been taking my time and checking ever step of the way. Filing rings & those spiral locks have been fun. Thanks for any advise. P.S. I have not had much luck with Skipwhite but the parts are solid.
