I have rebuilt a 1967 327. I had a few head gasket problems but I have fixed that since. I was test driving it after I had fixed the headgasket and it started to over heat. The problem was that the pullys didn't line up right and the belts jumped off the pullys and not turning the water pump... So I had a clutch fan installed fixing the pully issue and installed new belts. The battery was dead due to the belts not turning the alternator and so on. So I charged up the battery and tried to start it, and well nothing... I thought it might be the coil so I took the coil cap off and tested it with a test light and it tested good. But I noticed that when I would turn the ignition off a spark would flash at the coil wires. I fixed that by putting the ground strap back on, oops I guess I forgot it. Then I replaced the ignition module and still nothing, so then I thought it would be the pock-up coil and tried to test it and nothing appeared on the ohm meter. Therefore I took the distributor back out and found out that the pick-up coil was in pieces all over the floor after I put my hand on it and it feel into 2 swipe rate pieces... So I replaced it and STILL NOTHiNG!!! Then I went and bought a while new distributor at oreillys by ACCEL, and guess what! NOtHING AGIAN!!! What do I do. I'm desperate for help! I hope I I clouded enough info and thanks for the help
