What cam would work for this:

5.7 1996 Chevy pickup 2wd. Auto. Guy wants to "hit a lick", but not need stall converter, and must pass emmision test.

Gotta replace cam, wiped a lobe.
Or should I install stock cam and "blow th' chip".

I know what I'd do with older carb engine. But not certian about the TB engine, and emmission requirement.
