I have an 89 S10 Blazer with 4.3 TBI. The motor was bored over @ .060 and has a mild comp cam. (Initial time is set @ 7 degrees BTDC, I run plus fuel) Extra goodies are MSD coil and distributor. 350 flat top pistons, high volume oil pump, Venom injectors, AFPR... Here's my issue. I just installed an Edelbrock Performer intake and chip. What's happening is that with the intake installed, I'm losing fuel pressure when idling while I drive. Fuel pressure is great during the drive, and was excellent before the intake swap last week, so I KNOW it's not the engine. I am pretty sure it's fuel related. The average 4.3 runs about 15 lbs fuel pressure, but with all the performance tweaks I've done to the engine, I am pretty sure I need to raise the fuel pressure. If so, what should I bump it up to? Any thoughts?
