Im installing a Procharger D1sc supercharger to my 383 stroker and a CarbShop carb. The setup needs an EFI type fuel pump going in to a boost referenced regulator.
Procharger suggested the Aeromotive A1000 pump. According to Aeromotives manual, if the vehicle is driven more than 30 minutes continuos youd need a speed controller for the pump so that you dont heat your gas. IT slows the pump, reducing heat. The car is in NYC, a street car, and bumper to bumper traffic from my door to the corner is 30 minutes alone. The controller is as pricey as the pump.
I thought the Holley Dominator 12-1400 would be a better choice since its 2 motors and the 2nd motor can be activated from boost and shut off otherwise.
I read some posts on here and didnt see anything related to this issue.
Anyone suggestions?
