Building a 1972 C-10 street truck. Has a 400 sbc bored to a 408, eagle H beams, Kieth Black 30cc pistons, forged 4340 crank, aluminum dart heads 64cc, overall compression is approx. 8.9:1, has a Howard 585 lift cam on ext. and int. as well as a 8-71 supercharger set up for 7 to 8 psi. Question is what would be the best choice for a distributor as far as brand, type, trigger style, advance type, etc... I understand how a distributor works but when it comes to good street performance from one it just seems like so many choices. It also has to be a small diameter to clear the blower as well.
