Ok guys I have a 69 camaro with a 496 , once the car warms up to about 190-200 (only when driving slow ,stays low when in park or freeway driving :s) it diesels when i switch it off ,its ok if i switch it of at 160 ,so i decided to put fuel system cleaner in the carb and tank to clean the carbon (idle speed is ok) but that made the dieseling worse now it diesels every time i turn it off when warm.So as we dont have seafoam here i bought ACDELCO combustion chamber cleaner spray and followed the instructions to spray in the carb with the car running and to flood it so it almost stalls ,so i finished the whole can with not a huge amount of smoke from the back ,just light white smoke in the air, gave it 15 minutes and drove it .Now when i opened the hood i could hear the lifters ticking alot and seemed to more on the left side as i sprayed most in the left primary. So i changed the engine oil to 5w-40 and drove it and while driving when warmed up i could hear the lifter alot from inside the car. I dont know if the lifters have dried up because of the cleaner or what .Guys what do i do??
