I have a stock 1974 Cadillac 472 which was complete minus carb. I disassembled the engine. Every thing looks great with no measurable cylinder wear. I will clean it, replace cam bearings and freeze plugs, re-ring and re-bearing, have the valves ground and assemble with new stock cam and lifters. I have the original quadrajet intake which I would like to use with and adapter and a summit brand 750 cfm carb. I know these 750 carbs are designed simular to an autolite 4100 series which were a good carb in their day, anyone using or had experience with this Summit carb? Are they reliable and easy to tune? The engine will be mated to a built powerglide for a jeep Project, very light vehicle. I want to use the low factory intake for under hood cleareance.
