Hello all,
If I put the ls6 valve springs into the vortec heads will I be able to run .519 lift without machine work? I have read that the heads require machine work in order to exceed .421 lift and other information online states the ls6 springs/retainers/locks allow .550 lift without machine work. my goal is to be able to run my cam with .519 lift in. and .523 ex. with these heads. I don't know what is true and what is false, hopefully you guys could shed some light on this for me.
here is what I have that I am trying to run
1976 350 4 bolt main block .030
flat top pistons
comp cams xe294h cam part number 12-254-3
victor jr. intake
demon 650 carb
1 3/8 headers
