Okay guys I have been looking for a serpentine setup for my vortec 383. Ended up buying a complete vortec engine from a guy for 160$... He sais it has a blown headgasket.
Looking at this thing in the back of my truck it is DEF leaking coolant from the INTAKE manifold gasket back side.
There IS either water in the oil or oil in the water i'm not sure.
How awesome would it be if I installed a new intake gasket and fixed the problem. Please excuse my ignorance but is there any way for me to verify a blown head gasket with the heads still on and the engine on a stand?
Basically if the head gasket is blown I will probably just steal the serpentine setup and move on with my 383. But if I can run this thing I would be a fool to waste it.
