Ok. I have a vortec complete motor with injection and all my buddy gave me. I am sure I need to go through it but it will eventually be for family/ski boats with Mercruiser outdrive. I know the marine Vortec blocks have provisions for the fuel pump and fuel pump pushrod. I have a marine roller cam already and it does in fact have the fuel pump pushrod lobe.
Anyway, I have a Lathe, Bridgeport Mill with DRO, TIG, MIG, yada yada. All the fun stuff and tons of cutters and drills. I see the CJ305 JIG that Engine Quest sells, but I am not paying $650.00 for that as I have more time than money. Ok so here are my questions.
1. Does anybody have the bolt spacing for the fuel pump bolts. I have an old chevy performance parts catalogue with chevy engineering drawings and I think they may be in there. I am at work and it is at home.
2. This is the most important question. What is the angle of the push rod hole in relation to the fuel pump mounting pad?
I do have an older small block I can dig out and reverse engineer it as well. Making these jigs it cake for me but getting the measurements sometimes is not.
