Push Rod Length Issues.

I’m building a first gen Chevy 350 with a lunatic cam, aftermarket heads and summit roller tip 1.6 ratio rockers. I marked a valve with a sharpie and tried a 7.800 pushrod. The mark was dead center on the valve but the rocker looks like it’s on a very steep angle towards the pushrod. The poly lock is very close to hitting the rocker body. I tried a 7.900 pushrod and it put the scrub line way toward the outside of the valve. The confusing part is…I also checked the pushrods with the plastic pushrod length checker thinger and it said the 7.800 was to short and the 7.900 was the right length. I’m confused.
