Thanks for adding me! I recently
started racing dirt track in the street stock division, first race of the season I developed a miss at between 5500 and 7200 RPM, the engine still pulls pretty strong through it all. After the race, took the valve cover off and saw that the rocker for # 6 cylinder intake was off and just laying there. Went to put it back on and the nut split in two around the circumference. put a new nut on and readjusted all the valves (Solid lift cam) and thought that was it, but the miss is still there. I've changed the plugs, wires, coil, cap and rotor button, and it's still there. Now this rookie driver/mechanic is thinking that I am floating a valve, due to a broke or weak spring. 350 SB worked up to 360. Can anyone tell me if I am going in the right direction with this based on what I'm saying??
I am not only new to this forum, and new to racing but also new the workings of an engine period.
