Simple question. What do y'all think about these rod bolts? I'm going to be putting a rotating assembly in my 355 SBC soon, and the assembly comes with the ARP 8740 chromoly connecting rod bolts and forged eagle rods which eagle rates this set up as good to 6,000 RPM... However, I'm considering purchasing the ARP2000 connecting rod bolts to use instead (which are $150 for all 16). The only thing is I'm trying to decide if I really NEED them. The assembly is only a street kit with hypereutectic flat top pistons, and I won't be taking the engine much past 6,000 RPM anyway due to the camshaft's advertised RPM range. What do y'all think? Is it really worth the extra $150 if it won't even be used in a high RPM high performance application anyway?
