Well hello everybody! I have yet another, how do i make my exhaust quieter question but a bit different.
I have a 62 gmc long box, 355 with a weiand 177 on top. 9.2:1, solid roller cam ect.
It all started when i installed this motor, using shorty headers, x pipe, 3" tubing to exit just in front of the wheels with flowmaster super44's. i drove it around for a while and it sounded good but just too loud to spend a day driving with. I recently cut out the 44's but saved them and installed a set of super50 delta flows. At idle they sound awesome, i love the tone over the 44's but with a converter on the looser side they always seem to be "loud"
In search of a solution I spoke to a couple hotrodders here locally and they suggested simply moving the super50's farther towards the tips of the exhaust and then adding my spare set of super44's in between them and the motor, to create a dual muffler set up.
so i thought i would ask you folks first to see what you would suggest.
