Ok here is the deal. I'm running a set of Edelbrock Performer RPM heads which have a max valve lift of .575, I have already purchased a howards solid roller cam that has valve lift of .560/.560 with 1.5 Rockers.
I currently have a set of comp ultra gold that are 1.6 ratio's. If I used these rockers it would push my valve lift over the .575, All the way to .597.
Now my question. On the edelbrock heads, Is it simply a spring swap, Or is it another I would have to address to allow for the almost .600 of valve lift? The other side of this coin is, Would it just be best to buy another set of roller lifters in the 1.5 ratio and call it good? Is it really worth the .037 inches of lift and doing all the work, to make the head able to handle the extra lift, verses just swapping out the rockers and staying at .560?
