The current thread about compression ratio got me thinking about my own car and wondering about my cam choice and dynamic compression ratio. I didn't want to hijack that thread, so started this one. Hope ya'll don't mind.
My engine is a stroked LT1 in an old '95 Impala SS. It is 383 cubic inch and has the following specs:
cylinder head volume: 63
piston head volume : 4 cc valve reliefs
gasket thickness : .029
gasket bore : 4.125
cylinder bore : 4.03
deck clearance : .005 (in the hole)
stroke : 3.75
rod length : 6
intake closing point @ 0.050 lift. I think 75 degrees but I'm not sure. It's a Comp 292 XFI HR13 242/248 584/579 on a 113 LSA.
Any help and comments will be appreciated. Thank's, Bill.
