Hey guys,

The car is a 1967 Mustang with a 1BBL 200CI engine.

So I go to school in another state, and I parked my 1967 Mustang in my moms driveway till I would come back a month later. Keep in mind that this car has almost everything engine wise new in it. Anyways, I come home after a month, first thing, car doesnt start in Park. Put it in Neutral and it started fine. Drove it for 10 minutes, came to a stop, gave it some gas, car stalled. Wouldnt turn on after a few times. The temperature gauge read warmer than usual. But then the car started in park again after a minute. So I went home and thought that since it was a hot day, I should drive it at night. So I was out about an hour ago, car drove for 15 minutes or so, then it started to hesitate so I gave it gas and it died. Would not start again for a few tries. Then it turned on. Then I decided to do a U turn to go home and it died again. Waited 30 seconds, started up and went home. Parked in my driveway, and let it sit there running. After 15 seconds, car was hesitating and even the voltage readings were going up and down. Gave the car some gas and it died right there. What could this be? It has never ran this hot according to the thermostat and it never stalled before. All the drivetrain was rebuilt 3 years ago. Something with the radiator? The car has been sitting for a month. And by running hot, the temperature gauge is a little over halfway, more than before.

Now today, I tried to remove the top of the carburetor to clean since I thought that could be the issue. I had no idea what I was doing, so I sprayed carb cleaner in it and spent 2 hard hours trying to put it back together. Now the car starts after multiple tries and when it starts it has a rougher idle and can sometimes die out. I am only 19 so I dont know much, by my mom is telling me that I need to go to a shop to get it fixed, since I dont have much knowledge on it :( I am in college and only have a few hundred bucks to my name so I would rather save it lol.

Here are some pics of the carb AFTER I put it back together.
