Hey there so I'm going to set the timing on my sbc 350. I'm pretty sure to set the intial at 12degrees with the the vaccum pulled. Now to set total, I rev the engine to about 3000 rpm and adjust the dist. Until it reads 36 degrees correct? My question might sound stupid but after I adjust the total what should my initial be at idle if that makes any sense? If it's not at 12 do I just let it fall where it's at after total and the then adjust idle? Sorry if this is a little out there, I'm just trying to get this right! Any info is greatly appreciated!
